THE REAL PROBLEM
Knowing the competencies is not the same as being able to coach professionally.
A real engagement unfolds across sessions, competing priorities and changing circumstances. The coach must hold direction without controlling it, choose interventions without hiding behind a script, maintain boundaries and evaluate whether the work is useful.
WCT closes the gap between knowing individual coaching skills and delivering a coherent, ethical professional process.
THE WCI SHIFT
DIRECT+ gives you structure without giving you a script.
DIRECT+ is WCI’s architecture for a multi-session coaching engagement. It helps the coach establish direction, generate insight, rehearse new responses, support execution, learn from results, consolidate change and manage transition.
The framework creates consistency. Professional judgement determines how it is used with the person in front of you.

PROGRAMME DESIGN
Four intensive days, then twelve weeks of deliberate practice
The first block builds the complete architecture. Weekly sessions then develop each stage, integration and professional judgement.

Days 1–4 · Build the complete process
Move from direction and insight through rehearsal, execution, review, consolidation and transition. Integrate the eight competencies inside a full DIRECT+ conversation.

Weeks 2–8 · Build fluency stage by stage
Use demonstrations, supervised practice, feedback and reflection to deepen skill in each part of the architecture.

THE STANDARD
Certification is earned — not granted for attendance.
The current design requires at least 75% attendance, attendance or approved make-up of all four in-person days, completion of the required assessments, twelve Goal Buddy sessions, a competent 30-minute DIRECT+ conversation, and 100 verified coaching hours completed after the taught programme.
Certification happens only after every requirement is verified. It may occur after the taught phase, depending on when the coaching hours are completed.

CREDENTIALS
WCI certification and ICF: the clear answer
WCT leads to WCI Wisdom Coach certification when all requirements are met. WCI is independent and is not ICF-accredited. Its certification is not an ICF credential or a claim of equivalence.
If an ICF credential is your primary goal, an ICF-accredited route may be more direct. Apply to WCT because you want to practise WCI Wisdom Coaching through DIRECT+.

Frequently asked questions
Does certification happen when the taught programme ends?
Not automatically. Certification is awarded only after all requirements — including 100 verified coaching hours — are complete.
Can I enter without WCC 1 and 2?
No. Both WCC programmes must be completed and certified. WCT has no direct-entry exemption in the current design.
Do I need access to clients?
Yes. Applicants need a realistic plan for practice clients and the capacity to complete and document the required hours.
Can I coach inside my organisation?
Potentially, provided the work meets the approved logging, ethics, contracting and scope requirements. Confirm your intended mix during application.
Is DIRECT+ a script?
No. It is a structure for professional judgement. The coach must adapt to the client, context and stage of the engagement.
Can WCI guarantee clients or income?
No. WCT develops and assesses coaching capability. It does not guarantee clients, business success or income.
